Join GPPA at The Omni Amelia Island for the 2018 Summer Meeting - August 3-4, 2018! As part of the Georgia Psychiatric Physicians Association's continuing education curriculum, each year it hosts two meetings that offer psychiatrists continuing medical education (CME) opportunities. The Summer Meeting occurs annually and spans two days, offering professional development and social opportunities with colleagues.

Educational Objectives

After attending this meeting, participants should be able to:

  • Increase knowledge of recent advances in the diagnosis, management and treatment of mental illness 
  • Review, interpret and summarize new clinical, scientific, and research information in the study of psychiatry 
  • Learn and improve techniques that will allow the physician to offer the best treatment options and care to patients 
  • Compare and contrast methods in order to fully assess patient's needs and treatment options 
  • Improve standards of practice 

The target audience for this educational activity is psychiatrists.
