Discussant: Dr. Shannon Croft
Georgia Institute of Technology
The imperfections of a family that lives in southern Louisiana and a child's desire for repair are the ingredients for this film. Included are the mysteries and richness that go with Creole life. Our discussant is Dr. Shannon Croft from Georgia Institute of Technology, who has a special interest in the psychological life of children.
Movie Mania is presented by the Emory University Psychoanalytic Institute, the Atlanta Foundation for Psychoanalysis, Inc. and the Emory University Psychoanalytic Studies Program. Friday night movies hosted by the charming Charles Zapf, MD. After the film screening, an analyst or analytic candidate provides psychoanalytic perspectives and facilitates discussion.
Movies are shown on Friday nights, starting at 7:30pm in White Hall, Room 205 on the Emory Campus. There is no admission charge and no reservations are required. We do ask that you arrive promptly and donations are accepted. For further information, please call 404-727-5886.
